Description

Shimmer Fragments continues the exploration of light and reflection found in the Shimmer series.

Created using the same shell buttons featured in Shimmer Veil, this piece reimagines familiar materials in a quieter, more wearable form.

Lustrous freshwater pearls form the main structure, while iridescent shell buttons are suspended along the line like small fragments of reflected light. Tiny baroque pearls introduce subtle variations in texture, creating movement without disrupting the simplicity of the composition.

As the necklace moves, the shell surfaces catch light from different angles, revealing shifting tones of silver, pink, green, and violet.

Delicate yet distinctive, Shimmer Fragments transforms everyday materials into something quietly ornamental.

The freshwater pearls used in this piece are carefully selected for their strong luster, beautiful overtones, and near-round shape.

The mini baroque freshwater pearls are carefully selected for their luster, shape, and overall quality.

Because each pearl is naturally formed, no two are exactly alike. Variations in shape, color, surface texture, and occasional natural growth features are part of the unique character of genuine freshwater pearls.

The shell buttons used in this piece are crafted from natural abalone shell.

The front surface reveals the shell's iridescent luster, while the reverse side is intentionally left unpolished, preserving the natural texture and character of the material. Variations are part of the unique beauty of genuine abalone shell.

Every LUMEFIA piece is individually handmade in Tokyo.

We work with natural pearls, stones, shell, glass, and other materials whose color, shape, texture, and inclusions may vary from piece to piece.
